About Luxom (short history)
Luxom is a Belgian founded company that has been developing intelligent home automation solutions since the early 1990s. Originally founded to provide professional automation for lighting and energy management in buildings, Luxom quickly gained recognition for its modular, reliable, and user-friendly systems.
Over the years, Luxom has evolved with the growing demands for smart living. By offering customizable modules and open protocols, the system has proven to be both scalable and future-proof, making it popular in residential homes, schools, offices, and public buildings throughout Europe.
Unlike many cloud-dependent systems, Luxom emphasizes local control and robustness. Its DIN-rail mountable modules are designed for seamless integration into electrical panels, allowing users to automate lighting, shutters, heating, ventilation, and more—while maintaining control and flexibility through switches, touch screens, or smartphone apps using Home center interface module ↗️.
In recent years, Luxom was acquired by a Swedish company and is now being developed under the brand Luxom.io ↗️. The new team has taken over the product line with a focus on modernizing the platform while maintaining compatibility with existing installations. Development continues to support installers, integrators, and end users with updated software and ongoing hardware support.

Can I find documentation of Luxom modules?
Please note that references in the manuals to the orginal website luxom.be will no longer work.
What software do you need to configure the Luxom modules?
Plusconfig 2000 is the configuration software used to program Luxom modules.
The software can be freely downloaded and used but needs a license key to be activated. Contact us for the download and the instructions for the activation key.
How is the configuration of the modules stored?
The logic and functionality is stored within the Luxom modules itself. However the naming and logical order and organisation is stored within a Plusconfig project file with file extension .pcf
It is important to keep this file and store it safely on your PC and to keep a backup of it on external location (external disk usb stick, cloud backup storage)!
When the file is lost the full range of MIN addresses needs to be scanned to find all the modules back and the naming will be lost.

How does Luxom work with Home center?
Next to your regular Luxom modules, these are the required modules:
- Luxom DS65L
- HISv2 for Luxom
- HDR-15-15 power supply for the HISv2 module. It needs a different power supply because the operation voltage is different than the Luxom bus. When you order the HISv2 module we will provide the appropriate power supply.
Software:
- The Home center modules hosts a webinterface that is suited for smartphone, tablet and PC and is generally used from Android smartphone and tablets.
- There is a dedicated app in the Apple App store for iPhone and iPad
- There is a dedicated Windows application that can be downloaded from your home center module (through the webinterface / Settings / Downloads) and installed on your Windows PC.

Can I configure Luxom modules with the Home center software?
No you need Plusconfig 2000 to program and configure the Luxom modules. You need to connect the Plusconfig 2000 software with the DS65L module through your local network. You need to provide the IP address of your DS65L module to connect.
